NARCOCULTURA, COHESIÓN CULTURAL Y EXPANSIÓN TRANSNACIONAL: UN DESAFÍO PARA LA SEGURIDAD INTERNACIONAL
Main Article Content
Abstract
Narcoculture, understood as the set of values, symbols, and practices associated with drug trafficking, has emerged as a key force for understanding the establishment of transnational criminal networks. This article explores how narcoculture not only reflects the internal dynamics of drug trafficking but also acts as a strategic tool for the development of cultural cohesion and the expansion of these criminal organizations. Through the case of the Latin Kings, it is argued that narcoculture facilitates the creation of symbolic capital that strengthens the social legitimacy of criminal networks, enabling their survival and expansion on an international scale.
